From my frenzied tweeting some of you may already have heard about Answer Me This Podcast being nominated for a Sony Radio Award and not winning. Congratulations to all the winners from the losers. Since you weren’t there, I created an accurate recreation of the scene with my own fair hand. For people who haven’t heard Answer me this!, I go under the guise of Martin The Sound Man, Helen and Olly are the hosts, and Jenny is Olly’s gf.

The Sonys

Prior to the awards I was at annual indiefest All Tomorrow’s Parties. It’s fair to say it was a fairly weak lineup.

Bands which were straight-up balls:

Shearwater (no Jason Lee in sight)

Bands which were a massive disappointment:

Bands where the shitty sound meant I couldn’t tell what the hell was going on:

and the rest were either punishingly mediocre or I was on the water slides. Don’t know whether I’ll go next year. Probably will just to hang out with my lovely friends from Manchester who I’m too lame to see the rest of the year. See you in 2010!
