Now available on iTunes

You probably already know that The Sound of the Ladies Podcast is available for free via iTunes every month, so this probably seems like anti-news. But the most recent SOTL EP, Scrape The Paint, is now available to buy on iTunes. If you want to buy it from me, you still can, but, well… I know how everyone likes iTunes. It’s an excellent app/site. Yes, that is an affiliate link.

As if by coincidence, I’ll be playing at the iTunes live festival on Saturday with Answer me This! podcast – rocking out in support of La Roux. I really thought I hated the 80s, having lived through the miserable fucking decade, but they might change my mind. They are certainly the only group in that genre creating music worth listening to – and showing up the embarrassing rash of tedious revivalists for what they are. Perhaps because with La Roux, you get the impression that they’re songwriters who care about their craft, working in a genre that they love, creating a visual style that they identify with, instead of ironically pastiching an era that is all too easy to parody. Unfortunately, it’s a style that I very much have to grow accustomed to, in the same manner as a recovering nut allergic at a Ferrero Rocher convention… I fucking hate the 80s. But I can learn. And I’ll be dancing like a mofo come Saturday night.
