The Sound of the Ladies Lounge 4

August 5th, 2009 · No Comments

After weeks of procrastination (oh, ok, writing the music for Answer Me This 100, performing at the Latitude festival and dicking around at The Peasenhall Pea Festival) I edited this beatch in a couple of days and here are the results!

The Sound of The Ladies Lounge 4 from martin austwick on Vimeo. You can view it on YouTube too.

The brilliant Samantha Whates opens up proceedings with one of her old favourites, “Granny’s House”. I think her voice sounds properly amazing on this recording. It’s like that all the time, FYI -  check out one of her gigs if you get the chance. Easier for Londoners, but she’s Scottish so she occasionally ventures further north.

David Bailey is the lead singer for The Title Sequence. If you google either of those things you get a massive SEO fail. So here is the link to their music. David Bailey stepped in at short notice after Smogesque wunderkind Matt Kebbell slacked us off for a pressing engagement. David pretty much blew us all away -  he is a shithot guitarist, a great lyricist and a really really good songwriter. If he wasn’t such a nice guy we all would have wanted to bottle him. Not shown for copyright reasons is the amazing classical guitar version he does of Kraftwerk’s “The Model” -  you’ll have to see him live so the venue gets stiffed for the PRS.

Tell ALL your friends, spread the word, support these brilliant musicians – you know the drill by now.
