Hey Martin, man I got the so excited when the new podcast downloaded to my iTunes. I love Joanna Newsome and I thought you did a great cover, seriously. I’ll have to play it for my girlfriend because she has a hard time with her voice on the older albums. Although, I don’t know if you’ve heard her new one she doesn’t go all scratchy with her voice. A couple podcasts back you mentioned the new banjo and I was thinking if you wanted to hear some pretty solid banjo/bluegrass type of stuff from the states, you should check out The Avett Brothers (Emotionalism or Four Thieves) and Yonder Mountain String Band. Avett Bros. are more rocking and Yonder is a little more traditional mountain music, but they do covers of stuff like the Misfits. Oh and one last banjo related thing Mark Kozelek from Sun Kill Moon and Red House Painters did a solid bluegrass cover album of Modest Mouse but the name escapes me. Anyways I’m ranting and on the clock, Adios.

hello,
Well I stumbled across your site today Martin as a long time listener of Answer Me This, and I would just like to tell you that this is a beautiful cover of a wonderful beguiling song. Also, SHHHHHHIIIIT, your voice is well top dollar.
Keep up the good work, am listening to and loving ‘We went to the bottom of the ocean’ as we speak. Why has it taken me so long to listen to your music?
